Vernon E. Ryberg

Vernon E. Ryberg, 81 of Blue Rock, passed away on May 15, 2016 at Genesis Hospital while under the care of Genesis Hospice.  Vernon was born in Dayton, OH on October 23, 1934 the son of the late Paul and Irene (Moore) Ryberg.

Vernon worked for most of his career in industrial sales, he was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener, Cincinnati Reds Fan and a longtime Lake Erie charter captain.   

Vernon is survived by his daughters Tracey (Ron Ritz) Ryberg of Elsmere, KY and Karen (Dean) Ayers of Marysville, Ohio; his son Dean (Jacala) Ryberg of Blue Rock; his brother David (Margene) Ryberg of Lawrenceburg, IN; a daughter-in-law Debby Ryberg of Croton, OH; his three grandchildren Carolyn (Ryberg) Kollar, Shawn (Shannon) Ayers and Jennifer Ayers and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Vernon is preceded in death by his wife Jacqueline G. Ryberg who passed away December 30, 2014; a son Doug Ryberg; a sister Dorothy Ochs.

A memorial service will be held at the Shelter House Assembly of God, 8460 South River Road, Blue Rock OH at 1 pm on Thursday, May 19, 2016 with Pastor Joe Rowland officiating.  He will be laid to rest beside his wife in the Union Hill Cemetery.
