Norma Jean Warne

August 7, 1928 ~ January 19, 2015 (age 86) 86 Years Old

 

Norma Jean Warne, 86 of Philo, passed away at 1:35 pm, January 19, 2015 at Willow Haven Care Center, Zanesville.

 

Norma was born August 7, 1928 in Zanesville the daughter of the late Lewis J. and Thelma J (Miracle) Paul.  She retired from Essex Wire on Linden Avenue; she was a member of the Freeland Valley Antique Power Club, Duncan Falls/ Philo Homemakers, Harmony, Riverside and Pomona Granges, numerous card clubs, member of the former Sugar Grove United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Church in Duncan Falls. She and Walter loved square dancing and were the Ohio State Grange Square Dancing Champions for 3 consecutive years.

   

Embracing the roll of Grandmother was her greatest accomplishment.  She sewed the threads of love and dedication for her family into the life she lived.  That same love and dedication will live on thru all of those that loved her.

 

Norma is survived by her daughter Deborah (Ronald) Kelly of Blue Rock; her son Paul (Kathy) Warne of Philo; her brother Larry  (Marcia) Paul of Zanesville; her seven grandchildren Christopher (Betsy) Kelly, Katherine (David) Imlay, Angela (David) Lafferty, Elizabeth (Carla Brooks) Kelly, Barbara Jean (Daniel) Wickham, Christina (Cody) Makuh and Deanna Warne; her great-grandchildren Morgan Kelly, Kelsey Alexander, Sammi Auxter, Kaleb and Devin Wilkins, Luke, Matt and Dan Imlay, Lane and Dakota Stires, Jacob and Slade Lafferty, Josie and Gage Wickham, Mason and Caden Swingle and DeLaney Makuh; her great-great grandchildren Stella Jean Babuder and Madison and Dawson Imlay and numerous nieces and nephews. 

 

In addition to her parents, Norma is preceded in death by her husband Walter Paul Warne who passed away January 14, 2010; great-grandson Anthony D. Kelly who passed away April 28, 2014 and her sister Marcellene Paul Swank Boyd.

 

The family would like to thank all those who cared for her and became her extended family at the Willow Haven Care Center during her last four years.

 

Visitations will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be 11 am Thursday with Pastor Sturman Moore and Rev. Karen Osborn officiating.  She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
