Florence "Joy" Butler

Florence “Joy” Butler,90, of Nashport, passed away Sunday, Nov 27, 2016, at her home.  Joy was born December 12, 1925 in Beverly, Ohio to the late Andrew and Lucy (Dixon) Mick.

Joy was a Secretary for the Steubenville Herald and was co-owner and operator with her husband of Butler & Son Tire Shop on Putnam Avenue. Joy was a member of the United Presbyterian church in Nashport and loved to spend time with her grandchildren and crochet.

Joy was noted for her baking and candy making from scratch.

Joy is survived by her Son David Butler of Zanesville and a daughter Becky Butler of Dresden. Nine grandchildren are David, Angelina, Michael, Cheyenne, Krystal, Andrea, Megan, Barbara, and Sarah.    18 Great Grandchildren, and a Great Great Grandson.

In addition to her parents she in preceded in death by her Husband George Butler who passed away in 1989, a son George Butler Jr, a Daughter in law Bridgette Butler, a daughter Andrea Butler and a sister Virginia Thompson.

In keeping with Joy’s wishes, a cremation will take place and burial will be at a later date.
