William E. Harlan, age 77, entered into the arms of his heavenly Father on June 30, 2021. He passed in his home surrounded by his loving family and in the care of Hospice for Acute Renal Failure.
Bill was born in Zanesville, Ohio on August 4, 1943 to George and Beatrice Harlan and was a lifelong resident of the Duncan Falls, Ohio area. He was a 1962 graduate of Philo High School and was a 20 year employee of Ohio Ferro Alloy. He also worked for Walker Manufacturing and Don’s News. For the last 18 years Bill has been owner-operator of B & C Mini Storage, Duncan Falls.
Bill was preceded in death by both his parents, sister Shelta Harlan and great granddaughter Kindalle Work.
Left to cherish many precious memories is his wife of 56 years, Christine Mason Harlan. They were married on September 26, 1964 in the Duncan Falls Baptist Church where Bill was a member. Also surviving are his children, Julie (Mark) Baker and William Harlan, Jr (Billy). His grandchildren, Erin (Jeremey) Tigner, Ali (Kane) Danison, Taylor (Bobby) Vaughn, Quade Joseph, McKenzi Harlan and Tori Harlan. His great-grandchildren, Emerson, Ayda, Luke, Sawyer, Enzley, Dawson and step-great grandchildren, Brady and Brennen. His sisters, Sue Savage and Velma Flowers and many nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may call from 1 to 4 pm on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Monday, July 5, 2021. Pastor Gerry Wade will officiate the service. Bill will be laid to rest in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
