Viola was born in Derwent, Ohio, on June 5, 1928. She is the daughter of the late Ed and Fae (Stephens) Holdren. Viola graduated from Buffalo High School. In addition to her parents, Viola is preceded in death by her husband; her daughters, Carolyn Jefferys, and Delorse Keith; her son, Jeff Abrams; her granddaughter, Michelle Kelley; and her brothers, Robert Holdren and Donald Holdren.
