Trenda Sue (Kennel) Ribble, 81 of Blue Rock, winged her way to Heaven on November 8, 2022 with her daughters at her side and under the care of Genesis Hospice. She joined our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her beloved soulmate John Ribble. He passed just seven months ago and she could not tolerate the separation. They were childhood friends and were married sixty two years. She joyfully packed his bucket every day and liked to tell everyone she raised and trained him well.
Trenda lived all her life about five miles from where she grew up. She loved her life on the five generation Ribble farm. She was an avid gardener, canner, reader, and grew beautiful flowers. Mom knew everyone and was loved by all. She and dad were armchair travelers and never wanted to leave home. She absolutely loved taking pictures with her little camera. We have hundreds of pictures of clouds alone. Now she is seeing them up close.
She was a wonderful friend who deeply loved her parents, sisters, brothers-in-law, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Right now she is talking the ears off Saint Peter while reorganizing Heaven, and trying to figure out how to send weekly care packages to her grandkids in South Carolina. Love You Mom! We will never get over your loss.
Trenda leaves behind her mother, Ruth Kennel; her two daughters, Angela K. Houle and Debra A. (Jack Jr.) Clontz; her two grandchildren, Ethan (Libby) Clontz and Avery Clontz; six sisters, Sandra Rosenberger, Ginger Williams, Pamela White, Sara (Ed) Bowers, Sally Woodruff and Rebecca (Tim) Woodward; a sister-in-law, Martha Ribble and brother-in-law, Nelson Sitton; along with a multitude of nieces, nephews and wonderful neighbors.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Ribble; her father, Edwin “Bub” Kennel; her brothers-in-law, Buck Rosenberger, Harold Dean Williams, Richard White, Clayton “Woody” Woodruff, Glenn Ribble and sister-in-law, Sue (Ribble) Sitton.
Thank you to the Genesis Hospice staff for their kindness and care. Thank you to the Carr Center Adult Day Care for entertaining mom when we needed a break. We are still finding the crafts she made and the Bingo winnings hidden everywhere.
In lieu of flowers, please honor Trenda by dropping off a monetary donation or sack of groceries to East Side Ministries, 221 Stillwell Street, Zanesville, Ohio 43701 (her favorite charity); add her name and yours so we can thank you.
Visitations will be 4 to 6 on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday. Pastor Jamie Harrop will officiate the serice. Trenda will be laid to rest in the Duncan Falls Cemetery beside her husband, John.
