Thomas W. Kuhn

Thomas W. Kuhn, 90 of New Concord, went home to be with his Lord on July 16, 2021, surrounded by his loving family at the Morrison House.

Tom was born on January 18, 1931 in Bavington, PA.  He is the son of the late Thomas Ralph and Nellie May (Ferguson) Kuhn.  Tom retired in 1991 after 35 years working for General Electric.  He was an avid outdoorsman and baker, he enjoyed baking pies and bread as well as hunting and fishing, but he especially loved spending every moment he could with his grandchildren.  Thomas was a man of strong faith and was a 60 year member of the New Concord United Methodist Church where he began attending in 1961.  He proudly served his country in the US Air Force.

Tom is survived by his three daughters, Tammy (Gregg) Witham of Lancaster, Renae (Chris) Miller of New Concord and Vicki (Scott) Karling of New Concord; his eight grandchildren, Christina (Matt) Hartman, Jackie (Todd) Suman, Curtis (Sarah) Witham, Casey Miller, Cheryl (Rob) Daniels, Charlie (Sarah) Karling, Chelsie Karling, and Chase Karling; his eleven great grandchildren, Morgan Hartman, Micah Hartman, Cooper Suman, Tyler Suman, Caleb Witham, Auzlyn Miller, Gray Miller, Waverly Miller, Ila Karling, Owen Karling, and Harper Daniels and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Thomas is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Belle (Gray) Kuhn who passed on March 29, 2006; his two brothers, Everett Kuhn and Gerald Kuhn; and his two sisters, Mary Elder and Betty Stafford.

Visitations will be 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, July 19, 2021 at the New Concord United Methodist Church, 20 East High Street, New Concord, Ohio, where the funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm with Pastor Lisa Kropinak officiating.  He will be laid to rest in the New Concord Cemetery beside his wife.  Full Military Honors will be provided by the George Selsam VFW Post #1058, American Legion Post #29, and the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard.
