Shirley Joan McCulley, 73 of New Concord, went home to be with the Lord on May 16, 2022 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville surrounded by her loving family.
Shirley was born in Zanesville, Ohio on June 1, 1948. She is the daughter of the late Robert V. and Patricia J (McDonald) Barr. She worked for the Longaberger Basket Company in Quality Control and enjoyed quilting, cooking and baking. She was a member of the Bloomfield Presbyterian Church. She was very active with the Church, she was instrumental in starting the community dinners and she was known as “the oldest teenager” at the church. She loved taking her grandchildren on adventures and spending as much time with her family as she could.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 56 years, Paul R. McCulley, whom she married June 12, 1966; her children, Paula (Joe) Huffman, Tricia (Brian) Sharrock, Paul “Doug” (Angie) McCulley, and Kristie (Mike) Keyosky; her grandchildren, Andy (Libby) Steer, Adam (Megan) Steer, Kayla (M.J.) Newsom, Stephanie (Andrew) Bryan, Steven Barnett, Autumn, Winter, Joanna, Santos, Alex, Marisola, Jayden, Grayson, Matthew, Braxton Keyosky, and Ethan (Jaydn) Keyosky; her great grandchildren, Graham, Coleman, Addison, and Aiden Steer, Hunter and Copen Bryan, Xavier Barnett and one on the way! She is also survived by her siblings, Sandy Beatty, Robert (Jane) Barr, Sarah (Robert) Phillips, Raymond (Chae) Barr, Sherry Pickens, Ron (Annie) Barr, Roger (Bev) Barr, and Richard Barr; her brother in law, Dave (Donna) McCulley; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Mary Slack.
Visitations will be 11-1 on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the Bloomfield United Presbyterian Church, 5650 Cambridge Road, New Concord, Ohio 43762. A funeral service will take place following visitations at 1 pm. Pastor Tim Pollock will officiate the service.
