Shiloh Blackketter Obituary

Shiloh Blackketter, 27 of Columbus, passed away on September 12, 2020.
Shiloh was known for her hippie aura and giving nature; a very unique and free spirited soul. A champion for women and those less fortunate than herself, Shiloh saw the world through a different set of eyes than most. She was an amazing, beautiful person, who always carried an infectious smile. Shiloh loved animals more than she did people, and would very happily tell you why without hesitation. She would always apply her own creative spin on whatever she was involved with, and you would know it was uniquely Shiloh. Shiloh was an avid photographer and loved spending time with her family and friends. Shiloh was a world class woman. She never let any adverse situation stop her from moving forward. Crazy roommates, abusive relationships, sudden changes in living situations. Wasn't anything she couldn't tackle. But unfortunately like most warriors, they die how they live. In struggle and conflict.
Shiloh was born on September 19, 1992 in Zanesville. Daughter to Nicholas A. Blackketter of Zanesville and the late Alice L. (Dickerson) Blackketter. Shiloh worked as a dog groomer for Stay, Spot! Doggie Day Care in Columbus, where she was so much more than a dog groomer.
In addition to her father, Shiloh is survived by her siblings, Andrea (the old one)
& Eli Misel, Nicholette (the cool one) & Bob McClelland, Schyler (the crazy one) & Jim Swartz, and brother, Nic Blackketter; Her Aunt and Uncle, Wayne & Vicki
Blackketter; Her nieces and nephews, whom she loved more than any other people in the world, Isabella Misel, Elin Misel, Isaac Misel, Ethyn McClelland, Quinn McClelland, Keane McClelland, Jerzei Blackketter, Grace Swartz, and Will Swartz; and her two fur babies, Kita and Florence (Flo-Flo).
In addition to her mother, Shiloh is preceded in death by her niece, Ava McClelland, who after they spent much time together while Ava was in the hospital they built a very strong bond over their shared love of sunflowers, succulents, butterflies, dogs, and nature in general. Her and Ava had a connection unlike any other and we hope that they are together.
Friends and family may attend calling hours from 4 to 7 pm, Thursday, September 17, 2020 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls.
