Shelby J. Creel

Shelby J. Creel, 82 of Chandlersville, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2021, while under the care of Genesis Hospice at the Morrison House.

Shelby was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, on November 22, 1938. She is the daughter of the late Harry and Lenore Bowen. Shelby retired from the Zanesville Social Security Office, where she worked for 24 years. She was a member of the Blue Rock Baptist Church.

Shelby is survived by her brother, Foster (Jack) Wilson, of Parkersburg, and by many friends.

In addition to her parents, Shelby is preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Creel, who passed away on August 29, 2019; and by her sister, Ruth Englander.

Visitations will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, from 11am to 1pm at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls, where Funeral Services will be held immediately following visitations at 1pm, with Pastor Tim Gifford Officiating. She will be laid to rest in Grafton National Cemetery on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at 1pm.
