Sharon Kay Acheson Sims, 77 of Philo, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2021 at Altercare in Zanesville.
Sharon was born on March 13, 1943 in Zanesville. She is the daughter of the late Clifford and Margaret (Zink) Acheson. She worked for Essex Wire in Zanesville and also for various area potteries, including the Brush Creek Pottery in Roseville. She was a member of the Cannelville United Methodist Church.
Sharon is survived by her two daughters, Marie Madinger and Tina Wheeler; her grandchildren, Jeremy, Josh, Evan, Amber, April, Adam, and Autumn; her great grandchildren, Cadeon, Connor, McKayla, Michael, Haidyn, Makenzie, Parker, and Paisley; her brothers, Jerry Acheson, Jim Acheson and Robert Henry, and her sisters, Sue Ihinger and Cindy Henry.
In addition to her parents, Sharon is preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Sims, who passed away September 5, 2016; her granddaughter, Audra Madinger and her brother, George Henry and her dog, Pooh.
Visitations will be 11 to 1 pm on Monday, February 8, 2021 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm with family friend Maribeth Roberts officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Stovertown Lutheran Church Cemetery.
