Sara (Clapper) Russell

Sara L. Clapper Russell, 81, of Lakeview, Ohio, formerly of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2022 at her home.

Sara was born in Zanesville on March 15, 1941.  She is the daughter of the late Delmar and Bonnie (Johnson) Clapper.  Sara was a 1959 graduate of Philo High School.  She earned her Bachelors Degree from Ohio University in 1964 and then obtained her Masters in Library Science from Pittsburgh University.  Sara worked as a library professional for 36 years.  Sara previously attended the North Terrace Church of Christ as well as the Hands of Faith Church in Zanesville.

She is survived by her sister Maryanna Fenton of Zanesville; and her niece, Jane (Jon) Trent of Algonquin, Illinois.

In addition to her parents, Sara is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel W. Russell; nephews Stephen Fenton and Michael Fenton.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a graveside service at Duncan Falls Cemetery.  The service  will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.  Pastor Mike Bullock will officiate the service.  The Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls is caring for the family.
