Samuel A. Stewart Sr.

Samuel A. Stewart Sr.  67 of Roseville, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2020 surrounded by his loving family at the Morrison House while under the care of Genesis Hospice.

Sam was born in Zanesville on August 16, 1952.  He is the son of the late Clarence and Mary E. (Staffey) Stewart.  He worked for Burley Clay Pottery in Zanesville for numerous years and he also worked for The Pallet Company in South Zanesville.  He enjoyed watching trains, westerns and loved to poke fun at people and make them laugh.

Sam is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Becky Stewart, whom he married Feb. 14, 1978; his three children, Robert (Tequilla) Bailey, Samuel (Devan) Stewart Jr. and Mary (Steve) Clark; 15 Grandchildren, Taylor (Deseray) Woods, Dakota (Karrington) Woods, Tristen (Lakiyn) Stewart, Marie (Charlie) Kennedy, Jordan Stewart, Maurice Stewart, Samuel Stewart III, Tyson, Destany, John (Tiffany) Clark, Robert Bailey Jr., Sappire Bailey, Angel Bailey, Conner Bailey and Dominic; his 2 great-grandchildren, Paisley and Charlie Kennedy; and his siblings, Joy Harper, Jerry Stewart, Vickie Saxton, Susan Stewart, Rodney (Brenda) Stewart, Donnie Stewart, and Janet Alexander and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Sam was preceded in death by his step-mother, Mary Alice Stewart; and his siblings, Brian Stewart, Shirley Seevers, Clarency Stewart, Frankie Stewart, and Myrna Stewart.

Private visitations will be held for the Stewart Family at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls.  A caring cremation will follow and the family will hold a celebration of his life at a later date.
