Samuel Harvey Davis, 65, of Philo, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2021, while surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Genesis Hospice at the Morrison House.
Sam was born in Newark, Ohio, on August 19, 1956. He is the son of the late, Paul A. and Ruth V. (Rhodes) Davis. Sammy worked as a truck driver for Kendrick Excavating for many years. He enjoyed playing pool, golfing, camping, and spending time with his family, and his grandchildren. Sammy attended the Shelter House Assembly of God Church in Gaysport.
Sammy is survived by his loving wife, Tamara L. (Coen) Davis, who he married on October 16, 2009; his daughter, Heather Murphy; his step children, Robert (Erica Jenkins) Newland, Crystal (Donald) Linscott, Tina (Jack Humphrey) Dobbins, and Chad (Dezi Delong) Kirkbride; his grandchildren, Emma, Kaylyn, and Aden; his step-grandchildren, Brian, Sage, Haden, Ashlynn, Wesley, Vince, Jaden, Jordin, and Alyssa; his siblings, Sharon (Paul) Miller, Lorraine (Kenny) Nutter, Danny Davis, Mary (Rex) Hardway, Terry (Donna) Davis, Diana Medley, and Deanna Raynor; many nieces and nephews and his good friends, Billie, Brian, and Troy.
In addition to his parents, Sammy is preceded in death by his brother, James Davis; his sister-in-law, Shelia Davis and his nephew, Ronnie Nutter.
Visitations will be held 11 to 1 pm on Friday, November 19, 2021 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be held at 1 pm. Pastor Joe Rowland will officiate the service. He will be laid to rest in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
