Russell F. Williams, 93 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully at his home on December 28th, 2020.
Russell was born on May 25, 1927 in Zanesville. He is the son of the late Chester and Henrietta (Dalton) Williams. He retired in 1989 from Burnham Corp in Zanesville where he worked for 45 years as an iron pourer. He currently attended Hands of Faith Church and Santoy Holiness Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
Russell is survived by his children, Douglas (Dottie) Williams of Texas, and Mark Williams of Zanesville, Crystal (Albert) Barnett of Zanesville, and Robin Williams Hale of Zanesville; his brothers, James Williams and George (Darleen) Williams; his sister-in-law Sherril Williams; his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Russell is preceded in death by his wife, Gwendolyn Eileen, whom passed away on May 7, 2005; his son, Bryan Williams; his brothers, Henry Williams, Chester “Sonny” Williams, Roy Williams, and Earl Williams; and his sisters, Helen Adams, Dorothy Tabler, and Edna Mae Portis.
Visitation will be 10 to 11 am on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at the Farus Funeral Home in Duncan Falls. Funeral services will be held at 11am with Pastor Michael Bullock officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his wife in Woodlawn Cemetery.
