Obituary
RoseMary Sawyer, 84 of New Concord, passed away peacefully at Genesis Hospital on Thursday, April 20, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
RoseMary was born on October 30, 1938 in Zanesville, Ohio. She is the daughter of the late Clarence and Edith (Gray) Kreager. RoseMary worked as a secretary for Stormont Elementary, Buckeye Water, and other businesses. RoseMary was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She deeply cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. RoseMary also enjoyed tending to her garden.
RoseMary is survived by her children, Jodee (Dan) Achauer, Marcy (Mark) McManaway, Thomas (Kathleen) Sawyer, Creag Sawyer, and Justin Sawyer; her nine grandchildren, Brian (Mekenzi) Achauer, Todd (Abbey) Achauer, Erin (Bryan) Paisley, Tisha (Jason) Babcock, Jamie (Chris) Hughes, Samantha (Mike) Moore, Mark Eric “Buddy” (Brandi) McManaway, Noah and Eli Sawyer; her twenty-two great grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
RoseMary is preceded in death by her loving husband of sixty-one years, Neil Thomas “Tom” Sawyer, whom she married on December 9, 1956; her brother and sister, Bernard Kreager and Patty Watson; her brother in laws, Marshall and Harold Sawyer; as well as her sister in law, Juanice Williams.
In keeping with RoseMary’s wishes, a caring cremation will take place. A gathering of family and close friends will be held.
