Robert W. Rayner, 79 of Duncan Falls, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 11, 2022, surrounded by his loving family at Genesis Hospice, Morrison House in Zanesville.
Bob was born at his family home in Gaysport, on February 5, 1943. He is the son of the late Hansome and Bessie G. (Osborn) Rayner. He worked as a self-employed contract pumper for various Oil Companies in the area and he was a faithful member of the Rhema House of Worship in Roseville.
Bob is survived by his wife, Sandra K. Rayner, whom he married June 5, 1965; his two daughters, Misty (Brian) Miller and Darcy Rayner Harlan and her fiancé Jeremey Stutes; his grandchildren, Taylor (Bobby) Vaughn, McKenzi Harlan, Tori Harlan, and Jordan Miller; his great grandsons, Sawyer and Dawson Vaughn and one on the way; and his many special nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Edith Rayner and his sister and brother-in-law, Clara and Delmar Tysinger.
Bob’s family would like to thank the kind, compassionate, caring staff at the Morrison House, you made a world of difference to our family for the care you showed to not only Bob but our entire family.
Memorial contributions may be made in Bob’s name to Genesis Hospice, 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
Visitations will be 2 to 6 pm on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday. Pastor Wes Kidwell will officiate the service. He will be laid to rest in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
