Richard G. Shuster, 72 of Chandlersville, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2022, while surrounded by his loving family at Genesis Hospital.
Rich was born on March 29, 1950 in Zanesville. He is the son of Wava (Hartman) Shuster and the late Howard Shuster. Rich worked in maintenance at the Ohio Ferro Alloy until it’s closing, and went on to retire as the Maintenance Supervisor for West Muskingum Schools. Rich loved to spend time at Flea Markets, he loved going to Crenos and McMillen Tire Service, and he was very proud of his knife collection. However, the thing Rich was most proud of was his family.
In addition to his mother, Rich is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie (Perry) Shuster, who he married on June 2, 1973; his children, Jenny (D.J.) Dittmar of Zanesville, Ross (LaTisha) Shuster, Alice (Casey) Seyerle of Chandlersville and Beth (Christopher) Evans of Zanesville; his grandchildren, Madison, Jonah, Dominick, Bryce, Joseph, Bryant, Peyton, Case, and his partner in crime and best buddie, Dean; his daughter-in-law, Jamie Shuster; his sisters, Shirley “Black Sheep” Brown and Ronda “Donna Jean” Brown; his special cousin, Butch; his in-laws, Marion and Sue Perry; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his father, Rich is preceded in death by his son, Jess Shuster, who passed away on December 9, 2016; his grandchildren, Stone and Seth Shuster; and his brother, Larry Shuster.
Visitations will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls.
