Novella (Ruthie) Brown Butts, 89 of Zanesville passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, September 23, 2022. Ruthie was born on November 14, 1932 in Rochester, KY and was the daughter of late Elias Hammers and Lucy Francis Brown Hughes.
Ruthie retired in 1996 from Diebold Inc. She was a member of the High Hill Sportsman Club, Eagles Auxiliary 302 of Zanesville; Port 0’ Morgan Boat Club. She was also an avid Euchre player.
Ruthie is survived by her son, Dennis Dewayne Bornman, her aunt, Nesta Gray Kelly of Jefferstown, KY, and cousin, Judy Sleeter of Louisville, KY., and many beloved friends too numerous to mention.
Ruthie was preceded in death by her two sons, Richard P. Bornman and Donald Jack Bornman, her daughter, Roberta Sue Phillips and her best friend and buddy of many years, Jabie Max Conrad.
Memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care, 713 Forest Avenue Zanesville.
In keeping with her wishes there will be no services and a caring cremation will take place. The Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls is caring for the Butts family.
