Michael R. Swingle

Michael R. Swingle, 62 of Blue Rock passed away unexpectedly, following a brief illness on May 11, 2022.

Mike was born in Zanesville on June 14, 1959.  He is the son of the late Kermit R. and Barbara G. (Colborn) Swingle.  He worked as an over the road truck driver for H. & W. Contract Carriers for many years.  He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping and fishing; he also enjoyed bowling, playing euchre and finding great deals at yard sales; but most especially he loved spending time with his family.

Mike is survived by the love of his life, Helen “Christy” Mock; his son, Wesley (Melissa) Swingle; his daughter, Stephanie Swingle; his step-daughter, Brittany (Nick) Redfern; his grandchildren, Mason Swingle, Kaden Swingle, Brice (Sharlayn)  Ball. Ellie Ball, Avalee Reed, Gracie Lenhart, Gavin Caldwell, and Sophia Redfern; his great grandchildren, Garrett and Waylon.

Visitations will be 4 to 7 on Monday, May 16, 2022 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be 11 am on Tuesday.  Pastor Al Laese will officiate the service.  Mike will be laid to rest in the Iliff Cemetery, Crooksville.
