Mary Jo Brown, 93 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2021 at Adams Lane Care Center, while under the care of Shriver’s Hospice.
Mary was born in Parkersburg, WV on April 24, 1927. She is the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (McCullough) Emrick. She previously attended the Worship Center Church on Route 40.
Mary is survived by her three sons, C.P. Brown, Curtis (Karolyn) Brown and Dale (Martha) Brown; her grandchildren, Paul (Stephanie) Brown, Mollie (Matt) Mullen, Scott (Megan) Adams, Jinni (Delmas) Johnson, Shelby Brown and John Brown; her great grandchildren, Wyatt Brown, Luke Brown, Merrick Adams, Mallory Johnson, Sisalie Johnson and Tanner Mullen; her step-grandchildren, Tammy (Tim) Blake, Dirk (India) Revennaugh, Trevor Fusner, Michelle Berry, Bobbie Ralph, Kyle (Megan) Gillespie; her great great granddaughter, Sophie Johnson; her brother, Robert Emrick and her cats, Tootie, Bootie and Whitey.
In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband, John Brown, who passed away August 1991; her son, David Brown who passed away in 1960; and her four sisters, Minta “Peg” Wilson, Millie Togler, Betty Lewis and Daisy Jane Emrick.
The Brown family would like to express a special thanks to her home health care workers and to the staff at Adams Lane Care Center.
Visitations will be 11 to 1 pm Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be 1pm. Pastor Jack Harris will officiate the service. She will be laid to rest in Little Muskingum Valley Baptist Cemetery.
