Mary Anders Obituary

Mary L. “Dolly” Anders, 86 of Philo, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2022.

Mary was born in Nashport on February 2, 1936. She is the daughter of the late Elmer and Elsie (Coler) Longfellow. Mary loved to cook, bake, and read, but her favorite way to spend her time was with her family.

Mary is survived by her grandchildren, Logan Anders, Amy Fountain, Abbey (Joe) Richard, and Andrea (Rick) Dailey; her nine great-grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Marla Anders; her siblings, Bob (Karen) Longfellow, and Larry (Jeannie) Longfellow; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Harlan S. Anders Jr, who passed away on May 9, 2012; her son, Brian Anders; her siblings, Cecil “Cork” Longfellow, Leona Maxine Newsom, Viola M. “Poad” Longshore, Donald Longfellow, and Dianne Turner.

Visitations will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2022, from 12 to 2, at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be held immediately following visitations at 2pm. Mary will be laid to rest next to her husband in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
