Makayla R. Stottsberry

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Makayla R. Stottsberry, 23, of Zanesville, Ohio. Makayla gained her wings on October 28th, 2021. She was born on February 4, 1998 to parents Eric and Christy Stottsberry of Zanesville and was a graduate of Philo High School in Duncan Falls, Ohio as well as a member of the Duncan Falls Baptist Church. 

Makayla will always be remembered as a kind and caring soul that was willing to help anyone. To everyone that knew Makayla, will forever remember the bright smile and outgoing personality. She always had a passion for helping those in need, including as many random kittens as possible. She also had a great love for sign language and wanted nothing more than to assist those who needed it without hesitation and to share her gift through special music at church. Makayla had a great love for the game of golf as well and was instrumental in bringing girls into the golf program on the school team. 

But most importantly, Makayla’s biggest accomplishment in life was her son, Jameson McKee. Makayla had a genuine love for Jamie and could not be more proud of his accomplishments. Without a doubt, he was her one and only love in life. 

She is survived by her parents, Eric and Christy Stottsberry. Son, Jameson “Jamie” McKee. Brother, Carson Stottsberry. Grandparents, Jon and Deanne Stottsberry, Gary and Rhonda Moore, Darlene Morris. Great grandparents Jack and Jean Spence, Elsie Morris. Aunt, Ashley (Josh) Becker and cousins Carley and Evan Becker. Plus many more great aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her Uncle Brandon “B” Moore. Great grandparents John and Julia Moore, Lewis “Pap” Morris, Charles and Louis Stottsberry. 

Makayla will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her. And may the memories light the path until we meet again

Visitations will be 11 to 2 pm on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be held at 2 pm with Pastor Gerry Wade officiating.
