Kenneth G. “Kenny” Kelso Sr. 67, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2022 at the Morrison House while under the care of Genesis Hospice.
Kenny is preceded in death by his wife, Linda D. Kelso who also passed away on January 13, 2022.
Kenny was born on April 13, 1954 in Cambridge. He is the son of the late William R. Kelso and Regina (Wickham) Williams. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time in the woods, and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and riding his Harley. He enjoyed spending time joking with his family and friends, but most especially he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He owned and operated his own wrecker service in Cumberland for 21 years. Most of his life he worked on drilling rigs, he also owned his own service rig. He owned Buckeye Auto Garage in Zanesville, he was an iron worker for 15 years and he dearly loved every dog that he ever owned.
Kenny is survived by his son, Kenneth G. Kelso Jr.; his daughter, Mary Rosella (Amos) Hooks; his grandchildren, Art and Rodney Church and Kendra and Brittany Kelso; great grandchildren, Dawson and Rohen Church; his siblings, Eddie (Etta) Williams, Debbie (Billy) Wheeler, Tammy (Dan Graves) Moore, Randy (Becky) Kelso, Linda (Rick) Maxwell, Brenda (Jerry) Sond and Tonya (Alan) Cox; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Kenny is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Kelso; his step-dad, Virgil Williams; and his brother, Darrell Kelso.
Visitations will be 10-1 pm on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the Farus Funeral Home of Cumberland, 343 West Main Street, Cumberland. Funeral Services for Kenneth and Linda will be held at 1 pm. Minister Jim Moore will officiate the service. He will be laid to rest with his wife in the Cumberland Cemetery.
