Kathryn G. Barr

Kathryn Grace Barr, 76, of Cannelville passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023 surrounded by her loving family at Genesis Morrison House.

Kathryn was born on January 15, 1947 in Gaysport, the daughter of the late Frank and Florence (Grist) Burtnett.   She retired from United Technologies on Ceramic Avenue and was a member of South Zanesville United Methodist Church and the Church of Nazarene in Dresden.

Kathryn is survived by her special friend, Lewis Barr; her daughters, Deborah (Mike) Clark of Cannelville, Kathryn Lovingshimer of Dresden, Christina Barr of Zanesville, and Cynthia (Eric) Stayner of Frazeysburg; her grandchildren, Kayla (Josh) Jordon, Kaitlyn Kirkbride, Katrina Kirkbride, Shanan (Rusty) Thompson, and Jeanna (Roger) Sickles; her great grandchildren, Aurora Sickles, Carter Thompson, Emmerson Thompson, and Callen Thompson; her brothers, Max (Colleen) Burtnett of Zanesville and Robert (Diana) Burtnett of Mingo Junction; she is also survived by many nieces, nephews and her best friend, Debbie Smith.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandchildren, Kayla Renee Lovingshimer, Kathleen Kirkbride, and Michael Clark Jr.; her sisters and brother-in-law’s, Betty and Harold Elson, Alice Marie and Ronald Hamilton, and Genny and John Pearson; and her brothers, Harold Burtnett and George Burtnett.

Calling hours will be 11 to 1 on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, with the funeral at 1:00 at Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. She will be laid to rest in Duncan Falls Cemetery with Pastor Tim Patton officiating.
