Judy George

Judy George, 72, of New Albany, Ohio and formerly of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center on November 6, 2022.

Judy was born in Seoul, Korea on February 12, 1950.  She met the love of her life, Bob George, while he was serving in the US Army in 1970. They returned to the US and were married on June 14, 1971. Together, with their family, they attended the Market Street Baptist Church in Zanesville until recently and now attend One Church in Gahanna.  

Judy loved her family dearly. You could always find her cheering on her children, then grandchildren, at their sporting events. She loved being a homemaker, cooking, helping others, gardening and taking care of her beautiful flowers, family dinners with euchre night, and the beach. Judy was a genuine and unselfish caregiver who lived life simply and valued experiences over material things. She had a bigger-than-life smile that could make anyone feel special.  

Judy is survived by her husband of 51 years, Bob George; her daughter, Sue Miller (Dirk) of New Albany; her son, Marc George (Jennifer) of New Albany; and her five grandchildren, Kody Spring, Kadyn Miller, Korbin Miller, Jordan George and Logan George.

Judy was preceded in death by the late Chalmer and Francis Gatewood.

Visitations will be 1 to 4 pm Saturday, November 12, 2022 at the Farus Funeral Home, 383 Main Street, Duncan Falls, Ohio.  Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Sunday at the Funeral Home. Pastor Jamie Harrop will officiate the service. She will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery in Zanesville.
