Jerry Ray Frame, 83 of Blue Rock, passed away, Wednesday, August 3, 2022, in the early morning, while at his home.
Jerry was born September 10, 1938 in Blue Rock where he spent his whole life raising Merino sheep. He was the son of the late Cecil and Margaret (Mahon) Frame.
Besides being an area farmer, Jerry worked at the Ohio Ferro Alloy for 27 years and for the Franklin Local School District for 27 years as a bus driver and grounds keeper. Jerry was a member of the Rural Dale United Methodist Church, and served his country in the United Stated Army from 1961 to 1963 in Germany. Jerry served as a Blue Rock Township Trustee for 36 years. Jerry was inducted into the Ohio State Fair Hall of Fame in 2018 and served as President and Vice President of the Ohio Merino Association since 1990. He was also a member of the Republican Club for 28 years, member of the United States Steel Workers for 52 years and president of Franklin Local School District Union for 25 years.
Jerry is survived by his daughter Rachel Ellen (Casey) Goodpaster of Lore City, and his two sons Robert Cecil (Lucretia Hope) Frame of Blue Rock and Randall Don Frame of Plymouth, Indiana; His two grandchildren are Annaca Faith and Addalyn Grace; and his sister Ada F. Frame of Zanesville.
In addition to in parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his wife Carol, who passed January 13, 2022; and his brother, Donald Frame.
Friends may call 10 am to 1 pm Sunday, August 7, 2022, at the Farus Funeral Home in Duncan Falls. The funeral service will be 1 pm with Pastor Lisa Jenkins officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his wife in Duncan Falls Cemetery, with full military honors provided by George Selsam VFW Post #1058, and American Legion Post #29.
