Janice A. Armbruster

Janice A. Armbruster, 88 of Cambridge, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her daughters home on June 26, 2022 while under the care of her daughter and Hospice of Guernsey County.

Janice was born in Cambridge on July 10, 1933. She is the daughter of the late Harold and Vesta (Kennedy) Walters.

Janice retired in 1988 from Champion Spark Plug Company where she worked for over 30 years. She was Presbyterian by faith, and she was a member of the VFW Post #2901, the Cambridge Eagles post # 386 and the Cambridge Moose Lodge Post #1211.  She loved being around her family, going out to dinner, she enjoyed fishing, camping, playing cards, bowling, and watching Ohio State and Cleveland Browns Football.

Janice is survived by her daughter, Sue (Jack) McElroy; her son, Tom Blasenhauer; several grandchildren including Shane (Nikki) McElroy; several great grandchildren including Jett and Haidyn McElroy; many other great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; her special puppy Duke; her step daughters, Marci, Summer and Linda; and her nieces and nephews, Kim (Bryan) Galbraith, Chris (Toni) LoConte, Lane (Pete Kalvert) Gardner, Dave (Leslie) Wilson, Carol Snyder; her lifelong friend, Ellie Long of 65 years.  

In addition to her parents, Janice is preceded in death by her son, Robert Blasenhauer; her grandson, Josh; her sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Hubert Wilson; her niece, Sharon Papworth; and her nephew, Jim Wilson.

At her request, no services will be held at this time.  A celebration of her life will take place at a later date. The Farus Funeral Home of New Concord is entrusted in caring for the Armbruster family.
