Janet G. Moore, 79 of Philo, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2022, while at Genesis Hospital.
Janet was born in Winfield, WV, on November 19, 1942. She is the daughter of the late Clyde and Thelma (Gibson) Ball. Janet worked in advertising at the Zanesville Times Recorder for many years, and retired from Helen Purcell as a cook. Janet was a faithful member of the Duncan Falls United Methodist Church, where she loved to spend time helping with the Summer Lunch Program. Janet loved to spend her time cooking, but her favorite thing to do was spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Janet is survived by her three sons, Timothy (Teresa) Moore, Terry (Theresa) Moore, and Tom (Sandy) Moore; her grandchildren, Wesley Moore, Micheal (Libby) Fleming, Clarissa (Cody) Fleming, Miranda Thomas, Tiara (Creed) Milner, Logan Moore, Gregory Stiers, and Nevaeh Holmes; her numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; her sisters, Joyce (Tom) Loftis, and Connie (Ed) Marion; her sister-in-law, Midge Ball, and brother-in-law, Danny Wymer; and her very special friends, Joy Ryan, Carolyn Martin, and Bonnie Paul.
In addition to her parents, Janet is preceded in death by her grandson, Nicholas Moore; and her siblings, Mona Wymer, Phyllis Mobley, and Clyde “Sonny” Ball.
Visitations will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 1pm. Pastor Karen Osborne will officiate the service. Janet will be laid to rest in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
