Frederick "Fred" H. Stachowicz

Frederick “Fred” H. Stachowicz, 80 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, August 7, 2025, with his loving family by his side.

Fred was born on June 11, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan. He is the son of the late Frank T. and Mary Stachowicz. Fred dedicated his career to working at Champion Spark Plug until his retirement in 2009. He was an avid golfer.

Fred is survived by his beloved wife, Lorna (Allen) Stachowicz, whom he married on December 27, 1996; his daughter, Jill Rocker; his step-children, who he cared for like his own, Robin (Doug) Tronge, Scott (Heather) Patterson, and Dustin (Joni) Ramsey; his eight grandchildren; his sister, Marlene Elliott; his furry friend, Bud; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his two brothers, Jerry Stachowicz and Frank Stachowicz Jr.

In keeping with Fred’s wishes, he has generously gifted his body to The Ohio State University, contributing to the advancement of science and the education of future medical professionals. A Celebration of Fred's life will be held at a later date.
