Francis "Frank" Dickson

Francis M. “Frank” Dickson, 80 of New Concord, passed away peacefully at his home on June 16, 2021, while under the care of Genesis Hospice.

Frank was born on September 30, 1940, in his family’s farmhouse on Dickson Road in New Concord. He is the son of the late Dwight Glenn and Ruth Corinne (Klein) Dickson. He worked for many years as an electrician for IBEW #1105. Frank loved baseball! In his younger years he coached for a number of baseball club teams in western Colorado. More recently, he was the bench-coach for Muskingum University for several years. Frank was a lifelong member and trustee of Bloomfield United Presbyterian Church.

Frank is survived by his children, Daniel (Pamela) Dickson of South Jordan, Utah, Corinne (Rick) Sowards of Lake Wales, Florida, Elizabeth Dickson of Grand Junction, Colorado; his grandchildren, Jessica (Ben) Miner, Daniel Slade Dickson, Molly Cowden, Joseph Foley, Ricky Sowards; and his great-grandsons Jaxon Miner and Casen Miner; his brother, Stanley Dickson; his sister, Judy Lashley; and the many friends he made through Baseball.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Frank’s name to the Bloomfield United Presbyterian Church, 5650 Cambridge Road, New Concord, 43762.

Visitations will be from 3 to 6 on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord, 63 W. Main Street, New Concord. Funeral Services will be held at 3pm on Sunday, June 20, at Bloomfield United Presbyterian Church, 5650 Cambridge Road, New Concord. Pastor Tim Pollock will officiate the service. Frank will be laid to rest next to his parents in Bloomfield cemetery.
