Evelyn JoAnne Wilson

Evelyn JoAnne Wilson, 85 formerly of Duncan Falls, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at her sons home.

JoAnne was born in Deavertown, Ohio on May 3, 1937.  She is the daughter of the late James and Sarah (Garris) Sparks.

JoAnne was a doting daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. For twenty five years, JoAnne and her husband Bob, owned and operated the Green Acres Store in Gaysport. She enjoyed attending the services at the Cannelville United Methodist Church.  She loved singing karaoke at the Highway 40 Karaoke Group and she was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.

JoAnne is survived by her two children, Rick (Debra K.) O’Neil of Zanesville and Deborah (Donald) Sutton of Blue Rock; her four grandchildren, Jenny, Bobbie, James, and Amanda; her eleven great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and two step-great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, JoAnne is preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Wilson, who passed away October 16, 2006; her son and daughter in law, Randy (Deborah) O’Neil; as well as her siblings, Arnold Sparks, Stearl Sparks, Jim Sparks, Georgie Edgell, Janie Ault, Mary Galliway, Irene Jadwin, and Doris Hogue.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 pm on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday.  Pastor Lisa Jenkins will officiate the service.  JoAnne will be laid to rest beside her husband in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
