Evelyn L. Monson, on Monday, March 2, 2020, Heaven gained another Angel. Evelyn Louise Monson. Loving wife and mother of four children, 2 step-children, passed away at the age of 64 at Genesis Hospital. Evelyn was born on August 12, 1955 in Lancaster, Ohio. She is the daughter of the late Chester and Helen McCarty.
Evelyn was a devout Christian and dedicated mother and devoted grandmother and great grandmother. She held many positions thru the years, many of them spent providing loving compassionate care to the elderly as an STNA. Goes without saying this was a perfect fit, as Evelyn had a compassionate and caring heart. She was always the go-to person for advice for her kids who valued her wisdom and opinion. She loved spending quality time with her family and enjoyed her time in church.
Evelyn is survived by the love of her life of 40 years, Charles Earnest Monson who she married on August 24, 1995; her four children, Misti (Rusty) Leake, Shawn Wiseman, Regena (Danny) and Melissa “Kizzi” (Mike); her two step-children, Guy and Betty; her grandchildren, Richard (Katlin), Jacob (Brittany), Nicholas, Kimberly, Colin (Shiasa), Shawn (Megan), Sebastian, Thomas “Christian”, Cole, Sylas, Sara, Daniel Jr., Brittany, Chad (Ashley), Ashley (Noah), Destiny, Jacob, Sidney, Chelsie, Catilin, and Courtney; her great grandchildren, Allison, Aubrie, Emma, Quentin, Olivia, Maklaylynn, Bear, Randall Jr., Xavier, and Logan; her brothers, Michael McCarty, Lester (Patty) McCarty, Kevin (Pam) McCarty; her sisters, Debbie (James) Timms, Susan (Donald) Williams; her father-in-law, Clyde Monson; her brother-in-law, Bobbie Monson and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn is preceded in death by her siblings, Chester Jr., Larry, Joyce and Angie.
Friends and family are welcome to attend calling hours from 11 am to 1 pm Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be held at 1 pm with Pastor Marc Caton officiating.
