Douglas Scott Britton, 51 of Cambridge, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 6, 2021 in Canton, Ohio, where he was working, from a heart attack.
Doug was born on November 13, 1969 in Cleveland. He is the son of the late Joseph and Frances (Thaler) Britton. He worked for Select Energy Services as a well tender in the Oil and Gas industry. He was very proud of the fact that he just got his CDL and his heavy equipment operator’s license. Doug enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing cards, playing dominos, listening to music, including old rap and classic rock. He enjoyed working out and he was a die-hard Cleveland Browns fan, but most especially he had a big heart and he loved his family, his girlfriend, his kids and his grandchildren, and he cherished every moment he spent with them.
Doug is survived by his girlfriend of 22 years, Tracy Werner; his children, Trever (Lindsey Huffman) Heskett, Trent (Tiffany Armbruster) Heskett, Tyson Heskett, and Britney (Randy Hartley) Britton; his gradchildren, River, Amira, Jamari, and Jensen; and his two brothers, Joseph (Teri Bingham) Britton and Jason Britton.
In addition to his parents, Doug is preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Marie Britton.
Visitations will be 11 to 1 pm on Friday, September 10, 2021 at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord, 63 West Main Street, New Concord, Ohio 43762. Funeral Services will take place at the funeral home at 1 pm. He will be laid to rest in Guernsey Memory Gardens in Cambridge.
