Donald L. Robbins

Donald L. “Whitey” Robbins, 84 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2020 at Genesis Hospital while under the care of Genesis Hospice.

 Donald was born on Zanesville, Ohio on March 28, 1937.  He is the son of the late Bernard L. and Ruth E. (Rapp) Robbins.  He retired in 2002 from Mattingly Foods, where he worked for 28 years.  He was a member of the American Legion, Eagles #502 and the Moose Lodge.  He enjoyed golfing, playing pool, playing cards and dancing.

 Donald is survived by his wife, Joyce (Thomas) Robbins whom he married in 2003; his three children, Deb (Joe) Brown, Rick Robbins, and Lori (Cheryl) Robbins; his step children, Terrie Diehl, Sherry Diehl, Lisa Humphrey, and Andrew Diehl; several grandchildren, many great grandchildren, his brothers, Gary Robbins, and many nieces and nephews.

 In addition to his parents, Donald is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Jean (Dembow) Robbins; his daughter, Cindy Robbins; his son, Donald Robbins; his siblings, Dave Robbins, Ronald Robbins, Bill Robbins and Shirley Wickham and his step-son, Jerry Diehl Jr.

 In keeping with his wishes a caring cremation will take place and a graveside memorial service will take place at a later date.  He will be laid to rest beside his first wife in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.  The Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls is caring for the Robbins family.
