Dolores Jean Pyle, 88 of Rix Mills, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s residence.
Dolores was born in Cambridge, Ohio on October 29, 1932. She is the daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy (Staats) Smith. She worked for almost 30 years for March Electric before her and her husband, William, started Linden Appliance Repair in Zanesville. She attended the Rix Mills Presbyterian Church. She loved being outdoors, and had a passion for taking care of her yard, often referring to is as ‘manicuring’. She loved spending time mowing, taking care of her flowers and her garden.
Dolores is survived by her three children, William “Rick” (Judy) Pyle of Salesville, Jeanne (Kenny) Dudley of New Concord and Joetta “Jody” (Ken) Baugess of New Concord; six grandchildren, several great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
In addition to her parents, Dolores is preceded in death by her Husband, William H. Pyle who passed away in 1991; her special friend, Dave McCarty, and her sister, Donna Palombi.
In keeping with Dolores wishes, a caring cremation will take place and a celebration of her life will take place at a later date. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in New Concord. The Farus Funeral Home of New Concord is caring for the Pyle family.
