David R. Touvell

David R. Touvell, 72 of Zanesville went to be with the Lord on January 1, 2022 surrounded by his loving family at Genesis Hospice, Morrison House.

David was born in Zanesville on September 25, 1949.  He is the son of the late Russell and Annabelle (Brown) Touvell.  He retired from General Electric in New Concord and he worked for Essex wire and then for Tumbleweed in Zanesville.  He was a member of the Cornerstone Church in McConnelsville, where he drove the church van.  He volunteered for Christ Table in Zanesville.  He enjoyed taking his friends to their appointments, sporting events, and anywhere they needed to go, but most especially he loved spending time with his family and friends.  He served his country in the US Army serving in Vietnam.

David is survived by his son, Joe (Kimberly Buchanan) Touvell; his daughter, Hope Lemmings; a special friend who he treated like his daughter, Tiffany Wahl; his grandchildren, Jemma Jo (Keith) Hostottle, Robert James Touvell, Jason Lemmings Jr, Reana Lemmings, Dustin Kinder; Abbigail Coy, and Allison Coy; his seven great-grandchildren; Bridgette, Declan, Gunner, Asher, Alex, Ozzie, and Camden; the mother of his children and very special friend, Mary (Donald) Wahl; and his nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his brother, William Touvell and his sister, Sara Wheeler.

Visitations will be 11 to 1 pm Friday, January 7, 2022 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls.  Funeral services will be held at 1 pm, Pastor Steve Smith will officiate.  Military honors will be provided by George Selsam Post #1058, VFW Post #29 and the US Army Color Guard.
