William Paul Starr

William Paul Starr, 83 of Chandlersville passed away at 1:30 pm Friday, December 6, 2013 at Genesis, Good Samaritan Medical Center. Paul was born May 30, 1930 in Greendale, Oh the son of the late Theadore and Pauline (Nixon) Starr. He retired after 30 years working for United Technologies, he was a member of the American Legion Post # 29 and he served his country in the US Army. Paul is survived by his wife Dorothy Louise (Huhn) Starr whom he married October 16, 1954; his children Jeffrey Starr of Chandlersville, Randall (Tammy Woerner) Starr of Zanesville, Mary Alice (Gary) Shields of Roseville, Mark Starr of Zanesville, Steven (Shelly) Starr of Cambridge and Scott (Beth) Starr of Piketon, Oh; his brothers Charles E. Starr, Roy (Pauline) Starr, Daune (Phyllis) Starr, Roger (Debbie) Starr, Jimmy Starr and Gary (Kathy) Starr; his sisters Eileen Hedges, Loualle Collins, Wanda Collins and Louise (Jim) Mount; 6 grandchildren Carrie (Jamie) Jones, Cheri (Nate) Puckett, Jennifer Starr, Caley and Chelsea Starr, Travis Starr, 1 step-granddaughter Shannon (Jason) Pickinpaugh, 6 great grandchildren James, Jourdan, Tori and Abbie Jones, Cadence and Kendyl Puckett and 2 step great grandchildren Jonathan Hillard and Whitney Jenkins. In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by a brother Laurance Starr. Visitations will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Monday, Dec. 9, 2013 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be 1 pm Tuesday with Pastor Gary Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will follow in Chandlersville Cemetery with full military honors provided by VFW - George Selsam Post #1058. www.farusfh.com
