William "Bill" Peterson

William “Bill” A. Peterson, 76 of Chandlersville, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2024 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.

Bill was born in Zanesville on August 22, 1947.  He is the son of the late Wilbur W. and Ruth Mae (Brown) Peterson. He served in Vietnam in 1966-1968 with the 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division. He worked for Central Ohio Coal Company/AEP as a Reclamation Supervisor and was also an Operating Engineer for Local Union #18.

Bill is survived by his son, William “Billy” Peterson and his daughter and son-in-law, Beth (Joseph) Eskridge; his six grandchildren, Clayton Peterson, Austin Michael Vensil, Andrew Vensil, Rokie Eskridge, Hattie Eskridge, and Elijah Eskridge; brothers, Robert “Bob” (Connie) Peterson, James “Jimmy” (Linda) Peterson, Carl “Ricky” (Sharon) Peterson, David Peterson, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his two brothers, Jerry Peterson and Stephen Peterson.

A caring cremation will take place and no services will be held at this time.  The Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls is caring for the Peterson family.
