William Dean Hayes
May 7, 1932 — January 31, 2015
William Dean Hayes passed away on Saturday, January 31st while in the care of the Beckett House, he was 82 years old. He was born in Westlin Township, Ohio on May 7th, 1932 to Dewey and Clarice Hayes. He loved to watch and root for the Ohio Buckeyes, and truly loved driving and working on his truck which he did for over 40 years. He deeply loved and cared for his family.
He is predeceased by his parents, Dewey and Clarice, his brother, Dale Hayes, and his sister, Marylois Hammond. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 61 years, Veleta L. (Rice) Hayes, his daughter, Velma Hayes of New Concord, his son, Willie (William E.) Hayes of White Cottage, his cherished grandson, Dillon Lanning f New Concord, a brother, Roger, Hayes, and two sisters, Nancy Hayes and Ellouise Coleman.
Friends are welcome to gather at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord on Wednesday, February 4th from 11 to 1pm. Services will begin at 1pm with Pastor Keith Taylor Officiating, burial will take place at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery immediately following services.
