William "Bill" A. F. Hill III

William A. F. Hill III, of Zanesville, OH, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 26, 2025, at the age of 61.

William was born in West Covina, California on July 14, 1964 then raised in New Jersey. He met his soulmate, Cherrie, in New Jersey and made a life with her in Florida and California, before settling in Ohio. Known as Bill to his family and friends, and PaPaw Bill to his grandchildren, he found his greatest joy in spending time with the people he loved most. Bill was a family man, fiercely loyal, hard-working, dedicated to a job well-done, and always ready to share a smile or laugh. Bill loved a good vacation, especially enjoying the sunshine, white sand beaches, and turquoise water in his happy place, the beloved Panhandle along Florida’s Gulf Coast.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Cherrie; his children, Jason Morgan (Jess), Curt Morgan (Lyndsey), and Michael Hill; his grandchildren, Mason and Chase; his sister, Debi Berger, and his brother, Brad Hill. He was preceded in death by his parents, William A. F. Hill, Jr., and Ann M. Hill.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Farus Funeral Home in New Concord, OH. The immediate family will be grieving privately following the burial. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Bill to St. Jude or the American Cancer Society.
