Wilbur F. Watts, 90, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, December 29th . He was born on July 1st, 1925 in Blue Rock to the Late Hiram and Nellie Echelberry. He worked at Rittberger Farms and Burham Corp. and retired after 30 years from the Roekel Company and was an area farmer. He is an over 50 year member of the Duncan Falls United Methodist Church, and the Zane Trail Campers. He was a WWII Army Combat Engineer.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ada Mae Miller Watts, whom he married October 10th, 1948; a marriage of 67 years. He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Jerry and Teresa Watts of Zanesville, and Jay Watts of the Home, two grandchildren, Julie and Stephen Johnson, and Traci Watts, a great-grandson, Oliver Johnson, a brother-in-law, Raymond Farus. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Lee and Frances Watts, and his brother, Elvan and Lucina Watts, a sister, Nelda Farus, and a great-granddaughter, Norah Johnson.
A viewing will be held 2-4- and 6-8PM on Friday January 1st at the Farus Funeral Home in Duncan Falls, with services taking place on Saturday at 1PM at the funeral home, with burial following in Duncan Falls Cemetery with full military honors. Rev. Sharon Osborn will be Officiating.
