Virginia A. Mautz
June 15, 1925 — June 30, 2016
Virginia Ann Mautz, 91 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2016 at the Helen Purcell Home in Zanesville.
Virginia was born in Wooster, Ohio on June 15, 1925. She is the daughter of the late Benjamin J. Swinehart and Mary H. (Franks) Paul-Vaughn-Kutschbach. She worked as an operator for Bell Telephone in Zanesville as well as a homemaker raising her twin boys; she loved attending baseball games, she was an avid couponer, euchre player and a member of Central Trinity Church.
Virginia is survived by her husband of 68 years, Herbert Paul Mautz whom she married January 24, 1948; her twin sons Ronald (Molly) Mautz of Upper Arlington and Donald Mautz of Zanesville; her two granddaughters Tammy (Daryl) Porter and Kristen (Kelly) Cook and six great-grandchildren, Korynn, Steven and Kelsey Porter, Titus, Chase and Kennedy Cook.
In addition to her parents, Virginia is preceded in death by her step-father Eddie Paul and her daughter-in-law Kathy (Kamerer) Mautz.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Sunday, July 3, 2016 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls with Rev. Tom England officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
