Virginia Grace Berisford

Virginia Grace (Kurtzman) Berisford, age 96, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away on August 30, 2018. She was born August 13, 1922 in Monroe County to the late Frank Kurtzman and Ella (Eggensperger) Kurtzman, and was preceded in death by her husband of 77 years, Worley Berisford.  Virginia graduated Clarington High School, and spent many years as a musician, playing piano and guitar with her husband. She is survived by a son, two grandsons, two great grandsons, a great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Berisford was retired from J. C. Penney Co. after 25 years of service, and held various hostess positions around Zanesville. For many years she did volunteer work at Beckett House in New Concord, and was a member of the New Concord Church of Christ.

Friends and family may attend Calling hours for Virginia at the Farus Funeral Home, located at 63 West Main Street in New Concord, Ohio on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at 11AM, services will begin at 12 Noon; with interment taking place at the Clarington Cemetery.
