Vachel Vance Butcher

Vachel Vance “Butch”Butcher, 80, passed away in his home while in the loving presence of his family on November 4, 2020.   Butch was born September 4, 1940 in Clay County West Virginia to Melza Thomas and Ora Macie (Paxton) Butcher.  He loved  hunting and the outdoors.  Butch worked as a Steel Worker. He was a loving husband and father, only exceeded by the love for his grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Butch is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Lenore (Rose) Butcher, his children Brian Butcher, and Jeffrey Butcher, his 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, and his brother, Frank, and his sister Juanita; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Butch is preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter, Dolores Butcher.

A celebration of life will be held at his home on Saturday at noon for close family members.  The Butcher family is being cared for by the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord.
