Trudy J. Valentine

Trudy Jane Valentine, 77 of Zanesville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Genesis Hospital.

Trudy was born on April 29, 1946 in Zanesville, Ohio. She is the daughter of the late John and Donna Jean (Barker) Gourley.

Trudy attended Philo Baptist Church, she enjoyed spending time outside sitting on her patio, taking care of her birds, tending to her flowers, and playing with her dog, Peanut; most especially she loved every minute she spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, Cooper and Cason.

Trudy is survived by her two children, J.T. (Bonnie Smith) Valentine, and Connie Jean Mercer; her grandchildren, Christine Lindon, Sara (Chris Sims) Mercer, Brittany Hill and Joshua Valentine; several great grandchildren; siblings, Kay Weaver, Phyllis Roll, Monna McGee, Tawnja Shirer, and Taci Gourley; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and a special neighbor and friend, Jarrod McDonald.

In addition to her parents, Trudy is preceded in death by her daughter, Vicki Lynn Valentine; her brother, James Gourley; her sister, Thea Grether.

She will be laid to rest in the cemetery on their family farm.  The Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls is caring for the Valentine family.
