Timothy "Tim" M. Dobbins

March 26, 1973 — July 28, 2025

Zanesville

With shattered hearts, I share the passing of Tim, on Monday, July 28, 2025 — my beloved husband, my best friend, and the kindest soul I’ve ever known.

Timothy “Tim” M. Dobbins, 52 of Zanesville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 28, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Tim was born on March 26, 1973, in Zanesville. He is the son of Ronald E. and Melissa (Mohler) Dobbins.

Tim had a heart full of love and a quiet strength that comforted everyone around him. To know him was to love him. He brought warmth and laughter into every space he entered, and his presence made life feel more grounded, more joyful, and more meaningful.

He was my rock, my partner, and my greatest gift. Every single day, without fail, Tim told me how much he loved me and he never let me forget how grateful he was for our life together.  He made me laugh, he lifted me up, and he stood by my side with unwavering love. Our life together was the kind of love story I will carry with me for the rest of my days. Tim was a devoted father to his four boys — his pride and joy. He loved them fiercely and was so proud of the men they’ve become. He was an amazing father-in-law and loved his daughter in laws as though they were his own. There was no "step" or "in law" with Tim... just family. When he became a grandfather, his heart somehow grew even bigger. Our three grandbabies were the lights of his life, and nothing brought him more joy than being with them. One of his most cherished titles was Papaw. He was also a loving son, a loyal brother, a cherished son-in-law and brother-in-law, nephew, friend and truly everyone’s favorite uncle. His family and friends meant everything to him, and he never missed an opportunity to show up, lend a hand, or make someone laugh with his easy charm and gentle spirit. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing how deeply Tim was loved — and how deeply he loved in return. His legacy is written in the hearts of the people he touched, and his love will forever be a part of us. Tim was a man of strong faith, and he lived with quiet confidence in the promise of eternity. He knew exactly where he would spend forever, and we rest in the peace of knowing he is home — whole, healed, and held in the arms of his Savior. Tim, thank you for every laugh, every moment, and every “I love you.” I will carry you with me, always. I love you with my whole heart.

In addition to his parents, Tim is survived by his devoted wife, Betty (Irvin) Dobbins, whom he married on June 15, 2016; his children, Kip Moore; Todd (Kaleigh) Dobbins; Kolt (Molly) Moore; Seth Dobbins; his grandchildren, Hunter Dobbins, Alessi Dobbins, and Natalie Moore; his sister, Kelly (Jamison) Henry; his mother and father in law, Dave and Carolyn Irvin; many brothers in law and sisters in law; lifelong friends, Chad and Monica Stephenson, and Ryan Perkins and Noelle Jarrett; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Tim is preceded in death by his brother, Todd Dobbins, who passed in May of 1974; as well as his sister, Krista Cody, who passed away on July 26, 2023; brother-in-law, Lance Cody who passed away Oct 18, 2011; Nephew, Hunter Stephenson who passed away May 13, 2007.
