Timothy Alan Barkley

Timothy “Tim” Alan Barkley of New Concord, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, December 21, 2018, he was 59 years old.  He was born on October 27, 1959 in Valparaiso, IN to Milton Earl and Dorothy Mae (Brunsink) Barkley.  Tim was an amazing father and husband.  He was a huge Buckeye fan, and loved watching football, auctioneering, playing horseshoes, and planning his dream retirement.  He was a New Concord Volunteer Firefighter for 10 years, and worked at OSU in the IT Dept.

Tim is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Shirley (Price) Barkley, his children, Andrew Joseph Barkley, Shane Alan (Susannah) Barkley, and Rebecca Anne Barkley, his granddaughter, Abigail Strauss, and his siblings, Patricia Garwood, Peggy Gerhardt, David Barkley and Becky Radcliff, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, close friends, and acquaintances.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

Friends and family may attend Calling Hours for Tim at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 5 to 8PM.  A service will be held on Thursday the 27th at 11AM, with a burial to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
