Thomas M. Jones Sr

Thomas "Tom" M. Jones Jr., 90, of Blue Rock, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 18, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family. Tom was born September 5, 1923 in Salsberry, PA. the son of the late Thomas M. jones Sr. and Velma (handwork) Jones. He retired from AEP in 1985 where he worked as a supervisor; he enjoyed traveling and spending time on the family farm and he served his county in the US Navy during WW II. Tom is survived by his sons Thomas "Matt" Jones and Felecia Allen of Blue Rock and Arthur Mullins and Deborah Burkel of Blue Rock; his sisters Ann Miceburger and Iva Jones; 9 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Tom is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Thelma J. Jones who passed away July 2, 2013; a brother Jack Jones and a sister Pauline. Visitations will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 Monday, January 20, 2014 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be 11 am Tuesday.
