Thomas E. Hall, 87, of Norwich, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

Tom was born on December 16, 1938, in Zanesville, Ohio, the son of the late Henry James Hall and Florence “Amy” (Smith) Hall. A devoted Christian, Tom dedicated his life to his family, his friends, and his country. He proudly served in both the United States Navy and the United States Air Force.

A proud 1957 graduate of Zanesville High School, Tom was a true ‘Blue Devil’ who enjoyed attending class luncheons, where he loved sharing stories from the good old days. He had a wonderful sense of humor and never missed an opportunity to share a laugh.

He retired from Owens-Illinois (formerly Brockway Glass) in Zanesville after many years of dedicated service. Tom loved spending time outdoors, especially camping with family and friends at Dillon State Park.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Carolyn June (Cross) Hall; his daughters from his marriage to the late Shirley Faye (Drumm) Hall, Constance Sue Hall and Cynthia Kay Hall; grandchildren, Gene A., Jessica, Amy, Amber, Bruce, Kristin, Aaron, Justin, Heidi, and several great grandchildren.

His daughters, Lori (Shane) Smith, Lisa (David) Payne, and Cynthia (Brian) Mayhugh; grandchildren, Alexis Smith, Ashley Smith, Zachary (Samphors) Payne, Michaela (Jon) Piper, Madelyn (Mark) Yoder, and Hayley Hoffer; and several great-grandchildren; his sister, Karen Lee Stotts; his brother, Richard Alan (Lesley) Hall; nieces and nephews, Mistie and Donnie Stotts, Jennifer and Shane Hall, and Thomas Eugene Hall II; his special friends, Ralph (Barbara) DeAngelis and Joe (Shirley) Greggory; many other cherished family members and friends; and his beloved pet companions, Rosie and Sadie.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Faye (Drumm) Hall, who passed away in 1993; his brothers, David Russell Hall (1944), Stephen Robert Hall (2002), and James Michael Hall (2009); and his brother-in-law, Donald Eugene Stotts (2004).

Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Farus Funeral Home, 63 W. Main Street, New Concord. Funeral services will begin at noon with Pastor Dail Parrish officiating. Tom will be laid to rest at Duncan Falls Cemetery with full military honors conducted by George Selsam VFW Post #1058 and the United States Air Force Honor Guard.
